Merryleg's first foal, born June 25, 1999 - Chippy is everything we at the Salem Cross Ranch believe an Arabian horse should be.  Big boned and solid, calm but full of energy, naturally quick but collected, and just plain adorable.

Now a gelding, Chip will be my next competitive trail mount, he has big shoes to fill following Apache, but Chip has already started - he's been carrying me to the field from the barn since he was 1 1/2yrs old - ponies his little sister to the turnout pens.  Treated like the big horses since birth, fully imprinted, Chip shows great promise.
