Born on a stormy winter day on April 3, 2001, Taira, aka, 'Zoom-Zoom', is a little girl with long legs - born with legs the same length as her dam, Merrylegs.  A little mare with big heart, she loves attention.

Her future is in endurance if her first few months are any indicator.  She is quick, agile and fearless - loves to run, spent most of her time on her feet when turned out during the first months - not nursing then snoozing, she'd prefer to explode into bursts of shear energy (maybe it was the cold air and snow and mud), but from day one she doesn't like to rest for too long.

Like her full brother, Taira has a bold yet pleasing personality, with a gentleness that we insist that all our horses display, and they've not failed us yet.
