Our spirited Morgan/Appaloosa cross, Cruz, is a special horse.  His career in distance riding was halted when he suffered from exhaustion and dehydration and consequently foundered after a competitive trail ride in 1994.  After a very long battle, this strong horse's spirit never failed, allowing a full recovery.  Although his gait is now slightly altered, he is still a great trail horse for non-competitive rides.

We will be sharing our experiences about exhausted horses and the complications which occur. 

Cruz has now moved to Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
