THE CAMERA - NIKON's D70s
Undoubtably the most capable Digital SLR camera on the market. The 5-area AF (auto-focus) system with predictive focus tracking
and Lock-on™ lets me shoot fast, with great precision;
near-instant power-up of 0.2 seconds, and continuous shooting at 3
frames per second for up to 144 pictures help me get every shot,
every time.
Using its 6.1 effective megapixel Nikon DX Format CCD imaging
sensor, I can shoot images up-to 3,008 x 2,000-pixel images with high resolution,
beautiful colour and superbly sharp details; the high performance
digital image processor optimizes for auto white balance, tone and
colour.
To ensure that I can get as many shots as possible, I carry two SanDisk Ultra II 2GB and one Lexar Platinum II 1GB compact disk cards. This lets me take over 3500 pictures at a single shooting session - I rarely miss a shot.
These cards will give me a very large shooting capacity in JPG format, and quite an impressive capability in RAW format. These camera and lenses create superb photos when printed up to 13x19" (A3) and are great for magazine and newspaper photos.
The lenses - I carry the standard Nikkor 18-70mm Zoom, plus so you don't really see me, but I can capture those 'unposed' special moments, I use the 70-300mm Zoom lens.
The Printers - EPSON R1800
Taking Epson's award-winning technology to the professional photographer's level, the Epson Stylus® Photo R1800 quickly creates large, archival quality glossy and matte photos worthy of display. With it I can print rich, true-to-life colors and subtle detail that's evident in every image.
This printer's impressive 8-color individual ink system, which incorporates red and blue inks, means I get a wider color gamut for incredibly vivid photos. Its separate matte and photo black ink cartridges are integrated into the system as well, so photos get the deepest, darkest blacks on matte paper, and brilliant results on glossy paper automatically. Finally, the unique gloss optimizer makes glossy prints look like they came from a traditional photo lab. And, since the inks are pigment-based, you can be confident the color and detail will remain true for up to 200 years. The Epson Stylus Photo R1800 delivers studio quality results on a wide variety of media and in eight popular borderless sizes - up to 13-inches wide, as well as panoramics up to 44-inches long.
EPSON PictureMate
For brilliant fade-proof lab quality photos on the road, I have a PictureMate® Deluxe Viewer Edition. I can print without a PC, the PictureMate is like a mini personal photo lab, making it easy to view, edit and print glossy 4" x 6" photos at an event!
View photos in crystal-clear detail on the premium photo viewer. Then, print using superior 6-color archival pigment inks, for photos that will stay brilliant for years longer than any other digital printing option. In fact, they outlast traditional film-processed photos as much as 2–4 times longer. And, they last longer than prints from other dedicated 4" x 6" photo printers by as much as 25 times.¹ All this, and they're even water and smudge-proof for worry-free handling.
